Artist's Comments

There's a whole song that's sorta relevant...buuuuut I'm not gonna sing it. Oh well.

I've been wanting to do some Invincible fanart for some time. It's just that I'm constantly in awe of this book that I never want to sully it. But I sullied anyhow. Haha.

Had a lot of fun with this, mostly because of the scene itself. I REALLY want to see this rematch and watch Mark get the upper hand. (I don't know if it's already happened because I only collect TPB's at this point so that I can always have the entire story arcs together so don't spoil it for me if they DID have a rematch. THANKS!)

nice man, the line art is top stuff and colours compliment it well. Would you recommend Invincible then? I find alot of shelf comics a tad of a let-down these days.

Who are these guys? I don't read comics man, but I like the guy with the manta ray type cape.
Reminds me of Sgt. Slaughter or something from GI Joe.

Ooh, I like it. I've never read any of Invincible, but I'm thinking of getting an issue or two of it to test it out.

It looks a lot like something Cheeks would draw... very "animated" look to it, and the coloring is spot-on his. Have you ever thought of using this same method of coloring on your more realistic, detailed, "comic-booky" drawings (like with your Cap' Marvel, Aquaman, etc.)? It seems like the results might be interesting.

Great work as always anyway.

I would absolutely recommend this book. It takes what's great about Superheroes and leaves the rest behind. It's just great storytelling and art at its finest.

When Sean and I became friends I was doing mostly cell shade coloring, but he managed to help me improve on my coloring by simplifying to less cuts and a simpler pallette. So I guess it would make sense that my coloring style is similar.

The one in black, blue and yellow is the title character of the book 'Invincible' and the man he is fighting is Omni-Man, Invincible's father.

I won't tell you too much more in the off chance that you'd like to read the book yourself.
